I've decided I'm not breaking it (never really an option TBH) But I'm taking the blower off and that may end up on the road Sud . I've acquired a set of John Sismeys cams and I've a pair of unfinished bigger valve heads that I started work on 2 yrs ago so I'm going to start to progress that and rebuild the 16v engine to take those new heads .
Refit the 45 Jenvey throttle bodies and remap as appropriate .
Thanks for all the input guys I just need a bit of encouragement and motivation to get the car back out on track. It deserves that.

Putting the blower on the road Sud sounds great. May even encourage John to get his finished!

Especially as you know how to set it up well, you should end up with a rather fabulous car. :D

Would you go for a 1.7 or 1.5 engine with it ?

Superchargers OFF !! Jenveys refitted. I can now use it whilst I finish the new BV heads.
Complete with new throttle linkage I made from scratch. I ran it very briefly as it’s still on the blower Map. We’ll be uploading the old N/A map next week

Ok quick update on the 33. After deciding that I’m never going to race the 33 again I had taken the decision to break the car. However as usual things change and the plan now is to sell the car. However. Before I sell it I’m going to go through it and recommission the car so that it can be sold as a track day car. The engine will be swapped for something less highly strung and probably refit a pair of carbs and distributor. This will Keep it Nice and simple for a newbie to track days.

It could possibly be argued that you need to reduce your collection of toys!

Could the 33 become a road car? Might be easier to sell that way?

Hi Dave. By the time I’ve finished it will be a totally bare shell all the lightweight exterior panels inc doors have already gone. it’s actually relatively rust free but it has obviously been extensively modified for race use. That said if it’s any use to anyone they are more than welcome to it in exchange a few bottle of quality Red wine. I will post a picture when I’ve finished stripping it and I’ll give it week then it’s off to the yard of DOOM !

Shame to scrap a solid shell!

What panels would be required?

Surely someone (not me!) would take it on.

Maybe facebook/ebay might find someone.

It would need rear arch repair panels , all four doors, bonnet, tailgate and wings. I may have a good std front panel and possibly front wings that could be included if enough wine was offered. Tbh it would be ideal for some who’s got a rusted out 33 and has all the bits. It even has a V5 in my name it’s an M reg and apparently one of the last 33 sold by Alfa GB.
