Thanks Kev. Yeah we’re rather pleased. Apart from the obvious engine issue that we’ll soon get sorted. It looks like It’s had a few quid spent on it poly bushed rear end grooved and cross drilled discs all round recent shox (sadly not konis ) and a full exhaust system and new tyres (chinas finest unfortunately) also has a brand new sump we suspect that is related to the engine problem.

As Kev says, it looks really nice and tidy and the paint looks spot on, plus all the nice goodies fitted.

Thanks Dave. It’s turned into a little cracker. And I love it. I’ve also fitted a pair of MOMO leather seats and matching door cards . I just happened to have them In The attic
I got the wheels because it had a set of mismatched cheapo tyres (I hate that) and I just thought the styling of the car can take bigger wheels. I was actually after some 17s but a friend had these 18s going and they had virtually new Micheiln Tyres .

Hey Lou , I thought it looked nice before but those wheels really do finish it off a treat.
The bigger diameter does suit the styling of the car. Sometimes I think too big with thinner tyres doesn't always make an improvement, but they sure do.

Thanks Keith. Yeah I’m really pleased with the look now. The bigger wheels really compliment the classic and sophisticated style of the 916. You’ll notice I’ve also fitted the red mirrors off the silver spider as they just happened to be the correct colour.
And with the leather seats it smells nice too.

Call me Nuts if you want but I hate to think of dirt and grime hidden behind things. So when I took the scuttle panel trim off To check the scuttle drain tube I just couldn’t put it back without a thorough clean up. this led to a general clean of the engine bay It’s was worth the effort as the main scuttle drain was plugged with leaves.
I have to say I’m Quite pleased with the result
Tomorrow I May take the rear light bar and bumper off to do the same exercise. Weather permitting .

Picture of the leather interior it’s called blue style and I think it compliments a red car nicely The door cards are still grey but I fitted the blue leather inserts to match the seats

That's great work Lou, it's a right old dust and leaves trap behind there which gathers and keeps things damp especially where those rubber/foam pieces sit behind the strut towers. I'd call that exceptional preventative maintenace I'll be doing very similar on my Dedra soon, both have a lot in common layout wise..

Just to add to your jobs...when I took my sill covers off there was a load of crud sitting on top of the sill step, under the trim....bet that'll eat at you to have a look!

Don’t worry Kev. The sill trims are on my “to do” list
