VJM 5Y

Post by KevJTD »

Just for the sake of the memory, my old S3 Ti QV.
A fairly comprehensive restoration which had every nut, bolt and rust patch refurbished!
The car now sits in the showroom at Black & White garage, back where it started life when sold new in 1983.

Pictures here at our local Lincolnshire mini Nurburgring, Cadwell Park.

My other Sud liked it here too.........

Hello All, my very first post here!

Kev, VJM is fantastic and do you know what? In the mid 1990 it was owned by a mate of mine, Peter Garforth, who was our local village bobbie!

When he was on shift he used to pop round for a cuppa and watch the grand prix if they were on! He also tried nicking me for speeding which did rather strain our friendship.......

I remember him driving it but it wasn't quite as nice as after when you restored it!

Lol. I didn't know that Ted. 8-)

I did get the full breakdown of all the previous owners from DVLA which James Wheeler now has with the rest of the comprehensive history file.
I emailed James last month to see how the car is, he reckons he doesn't get chance to use it much but it still sits in the showroom being admired by visitors. Happy with that.
He wished me luck with the S1 though...... :D

Here Here !!!
If it wasn't for Kev Mine would still be a dream (nightmare  )
Just hope he doesn't give up doing things for us Sud owners who can't get anywhere near his standard.

Can't wait till his S1 is back on the road - mind you there's some worthy competition out there !!
Let the games begin

quite agree.

i think full rebuilds are the real issue eh Kev?

juggling a job, family, own hobby, and then out of work time projects aswell, is near impossible to hold a happy balance with.

thats why i keep the pressure on for him to make the hobby and out of work projects, his main work.

imagine what he'd get done, monday to friday, 9-5 alfa repairs?

the whole forum would be in spanking shiners by summer holidays! ha ha!!

you know it makes sense mate,
