If your headlights came from Oz, did you have to pay import duty on them?
I did Dave

It crossed my mind, as i have just bought some gear lever bushes from Italy.

Maybe next year stuff from there will be subject to import duty?

You never know next year we may be paying tax on Italian products and not on Australian products

It's new old stock. Came from the uk . The seller said it had been stored under a bed for years .

When I was a kid, and we only had an outside toilet, the thing below the bed was a Gazunda.

What other cars have rusty roofs?

At least you are standing up to do the work.

People may not appreciate how tricky it can be to do these jobs, welding in sections like this without making it look like an Ocean wave, so really impressed with the work. 8-)

I seem to remember my Delta HF turbo had a rusty rear roof.

Must be an Italian thing?

We had Sierras with rusty roofs at 3 years old, anything steel and unprotected will rust.

Yeah, quite a few cars rust around the screens. Both our Mk2 golf and bmw e30 need work in the bottom corners.

My delta had spots in all four corners at the front. And yes, deltas are famous for rusting along the rear edge as there’s a section you can’t get to from the inside and they rot from the inside out, presumably due to condensation.

Metros go where the sunroof tray is bonded to the roof which is why I purposely went for a non-sunroof car for my eventual reshell project.
