i need help with a 166 fault code p0220

i have just plugged my car into the computer and it is telling me i have a p0220 fault (throttle position sensor faulty) can anyone tell me where it is please and is there any easy fixes or checks before i fork out for a new sensor

I'm guessing it's on the throttle ;) May just need a clean? But like most things these days it ls a throw away part :roll:

just been told its about 600 so i hope its dirty lol

Who On Earth told you that!


a throttle position sensor is about £10/15 upwards dependent of brand and model


an entire throttle body, which you shouldn't or wouldn't need to buy brand new, should only be about £20 upwards of youre lucky.

i don't know which model you have, but this is a good example
