at the risk of going way off topic and having to ban myself too....

in my defence and just to reafirm that throwing nothing away pays off eventually...

after todays attack by a ford focus which left my wing/bumper mangled and headlight fully broken of mounts i had to make a few repairs this afternoon. of course once the wing was put back to where alfa intended the headlight was free to float about all over the place, free of any obstructions. a suitable bracket was fasioned from some scrap metal bits
the plastic wheel-arch inner liner had also taken a battering leaving a big missing chunk where the road salt could go over all sorts of gubbins in the front wheel arch.
now, to the point of being a hoarder...
somewhere in the shed i remembered saving the plastic protective panel from under the rear bumper of the fiat coupe turbo i used as a donor car some years back for the 145 20VT. sure enough it was a lovely match for the inner arch liner.
see, you should never throw anything away :D

back on topic now ;)
