Re: Swapping single lobe cams for twin lobe

I would just buy the CandB's if they are the profile you want, doesn't sound too painful to me Colin for decent parts. Once you start messing with reprofiles, machining and shims etc to make stuff fit that normally wouldn't, the project will swallow far more time and money than you first imagine. Th...

I have one or two i think, should be serviceable as came from running cars if i recall correctly. Its generally thought of that longer is better for torque and shorter is better for top end bhp.

Oddly similar to exhaust on the opposite side too,

Who'd have thought that? :P

Yes, the yanks do have it slightly different dont they. When i used to import day vans, such as gmc safari and chevy astro, i used to giggle at the labels in the engine bay, stating that they were set up for use on 84 ron unleaded! Is it any wonder they have smog and emission issues when the fuel is...

Id get 2 x pairs of spacers, and try that.

Theory is, a little more height and distance from the inlet throat allows the mixture to atomise better before meeting the cylinder, and better heat insulation is a given.

No argument from me on that one Lauren :P Another angle not yet touched on is fuel quality. Whilst the tuner could see a mixture of dyno results due ...
