Re: Sprint side window rubber advice

On one Sprint I think I tried to feed it from one end but it is too long and so I then wedged the inside edge in the slot and used a blunt screw driver to force the outer edge into the slot .....and just kept working along. I might have left it off on another Sprint!

Re: Sprint rear side window

I think!!..... you have the outside trim in place then drop the glass into the slot. Then get the window lift mechanism in place with the little wheel in the slot on the metal section fixed to the bottom of the glass. Bolt the lift mechanism to the car then put the inside trim in place. It is a pain...

Re: BBC 4 at 8 pm

Do I detect a bit of inspiration there Philip? How is yours doing? :D Well I built it in 1989 with a Rover V8 to drag race, then sold it 5 years later......missed it, couldn't trace it, started to build another and it turned up so I changed the build to use the V12. No recent progress as house move...

Re: BBC 4 at 8 pm

We were lucky enough to get a Paris/ London flight on Concorde (just before the Paris crash). It went out over the Atantic to go supersonic and then back over the Bristol Channel down to Heathrow. It certainly was a fantastic experience and the push from the seat back on take-off was really strong -...

Re: Yesterday I was working on...

Awesome does that predate "plate and flicker" lubrication? I had not heard of "Plate and Flicker" in lubrication so I looked it up and it is commonly used in agriculture for spreading seeds etc. Splash lubrication is a very old technique and I think the wick system is also very old ie early 1800's ...

Whilst "rush jobs" usually result in more work later, at least you know what the car can do...... and will do better in the future. So it did provide inspiration!

Hi
Do you have a choke size in mind - 32/34/36? As this will affect the other parts.

Sorry Kam but I do not know about those car covers - but I'm sure they need firmly securing to the floor! However I am pleased to say that my new garage is getting drier inside and the roof condensation has nearly gone, mind you, I did have to use a sponge to wipe off the water drops and empty the s...

Re: Fitting rear seat belts in a sprint

on the sud there is an anchorage point (as per the lower ones under the seat) on the "C" pillar behind the triangular trim, guessing the sprint will have a similar point? Yes certainly on the later Sprints there is a mounting point next to the C piller, On my Sprints there was a retractable seat be...

Re: Garage advice?

The new garage that I have just started to rent also has a LOT of condensation on the metal roof panels. I think it is worse because it has a new concrete floor and was open for a few weeks so got absolutely soaked. I am hoping that it will slowly dry out, but in the meantime I am covering my stuff ...
