Thanks all. I've heard both good and bad about Gaz, Spax, Avo, etc that I really just think; go down a certain route and make my own mind up!
Did have a chat with Leda and they might be able to help and suggested the Konis rebuilt so, if you have some Looloo that would be great.
Cheers, Ted

I'm going Lauren to Brooklands but, as you say, not to walk among rows of 156's and 159's - just not interested. Hopefully there will be some interesting Lancias, Fiats, Abarths - the kind of stuff that gets totally overlooked!

All, I thought I would update this. My 75 is going in for a big service and MOT with Jamie Porter on Wednesday so that it can be ready for a new owner. I've spent the past couple of weeks using this car and it really is a good one and drives really nicely with taut suspension and a great engine and ...

Great discussion guys - watched programme on Saturday and pretty much agree with what's been said here already. Re: vinyl painting door cards
Kev and Dave, When you used this on bumpers/ external trim did you have to prime the parts first or just clean and then apply the paint?
The waist level trim and rear bumper black trim on my 75 TS SE has faded badly and thought I'd give this a try...

There is a cynic in me who thinks that possibly - and I'm not in any way accusing the seller of doing this as I'm sure he is legitimately just trying to sell an old, rusty Alfa - but I wonder if it has occurred to anyone that the V5, chassis plate and engine number will all be shown as a Touring bod...

Re: Steering Lock and ignition barrel removal
Thanks John. Key long gone I'm afraid so resort to drill? It's about a 5mm pin isn't it that locks into the column?
Not doing the angle grinder thingy as the car is pretty much mint inside and out apart from the missing key!!
I will need a new barrel anyway so will be in touch.
Cheers,
Ted

Help/Advice please! I have bought a 1981 Sud Sprint Veloce which has one obvious immediate problem - there is no ignition key with the car as it was lost when the car was put into storage about 10 years ago. First one is an Alfa 2000/2600 Sprint. I don't think anyone could be definite without seeing the bonnet. 2600 has intake - 2000 doesn't.
