Re: Timing marks and dizzy caps
Thanks for the replies, this has been very helpful, car is now running. Now another question, do any of you guys have or know much about the twin pickup distributors. This one has no vacuum advance and 2 pickups. I have read that the second pickup is activated by a temp sensor. Any info would be gre...

Re: Timing marks and dizzy caps
The rotor button is in the correct position, pointing towards the drivers side of the car where the number one lead goes to. It's just that the cap has number 4 moulded onto it at that lead and you cannot rotate just the cap.

Timing marks and dizzy caps
Have been scratching my head trying to help a mate get his sud TI going. I have always thought it strange that the cap is wrong. Mine has 4 on the cap where no 1 plug lead is. It runs fine but it is just enoying. I have 3 timing marks T top dead centre I This is where my timing is set when checked w...

Re: My 1979 Alfetta GTV
Love the quirky dash of the early ones, with the rev counter only in front of the driver. Nice car, is it a constant battle with rust, or is the climate kind to it over there? The Aussie version has the speedo in front of the driver, not like the Italian version with the rev counter, they have the ...

Re: My 1979 Alfetta GTV
Climate is kind over here but it was given a full rust proofing treatment when first purchased then when I got it I had a bit of rust removed from the rear hatch and rear window edges and then given another treatment to all inner surfaces with a wax based rust proofing. It also very rarely goes out ...

Alfasud TI 1.5 timing belts
Hi All
A friend needs to order new timing belts for his Alfasud TI 1.5
The supplier asked if they are 98 tooth or 100 tooth, I didn't know there where different ones.
Can anyone confirm the correct belt or the reason why there are 2 different options.
