Thanks mate. Manifold with or without carb would be great if good.
I actually need the manifold that has the rectangle seating for the carb which mounts with 4 nuts

Re: Kev's workshop projects
Nice one mate.
I asked about that same one thats for spares I told you about.
Guy wants 800 euros for it. Its a complete car, but the roof is well rusted with holes in it, and so are other parts.
Still havent been able to take some pics for you. He would sell it piece by piece if he has to.

Re: Single carb heads....fit for spares only but free
Thanks Tim,
Not in a rush, its just that I had to convert one of those engines with Ti heads and twin carb conversion, which isnt ideal if you want to keep a car as genuine as possible
Heads corrosion was the issue with me too. Couldnt find anything good enough to work with

My first ever garage
Tired of wasting my time moving tools and parts from my house to a local garage so I could get some work done. Too many projects piled up, not so many hours available to faff about earning nothing. The last year, I've been working at my uncles Body repair shop, using up a corner with a lift which wa...

NORD engines Head interchangeability
Guys...
got 2 halves of 2 different engines:
1 - Block with pistons and liners off a 2.0 ltr carb Giulietta
2 - Cylinder head off a 1750 Berlina
Can I put these parts together and end up with a decent engine ?
What are the differences between the 2.0 ltr cylinder head and the 1750 ?

Yes... but thats just it...
Why do I think my own cams are hydraulic anyway ?
If thats the case, then I should just swap the cams with my own tappets and they should be ok, yes ?
This would save me machine shop money

Head/Cam compatibility - 1.7 carb vs injection
So with a pair of heads on my 1.7 with water corrosion so severe they cant be saved, I had to look for replacement ones. Sadly, the 1.7 8v carb engine is quite rare locally and the quest of finding replacements ended up blank :/ However, I did manage to find a good set of 1.7 8v heads off a 1.7 IE (...

Re: Advance timing
Hang on mate... If you found a T mark which you hadnt noticed before, then is it possible that your timing belts were set on the stud instead of the "T" ? This would explain your hesitation issues.
Best take the cam covers off and have another look at your timing marks me thinks

Re: Diff Question
Thanks guys, Kev, the box I bought now is off the 146, so I'm assuming its the same. Current setup of my 33 seems a bit off, especially on 3rd gear. Mine is 120 khm on 2nd and 170khm on 3rd. 4rth gear tested on dyno to rev limiter at 200khms. So regardless of those results, the 146 is 90/140/180 app...

Re: Diff Question
Ok, can you calculate mine then please ? :) My maths are worst than my geography ! Lets say I rev up to 7200 as well, coz I dont hit the limiter if I can avoid it, and I'm using 205/45/16 tyres. Do 2 calculations please mate. One with my current 16v gearbox (so we can verify the numbers) and one wit...
