Re: Classic barn finds

Well yours does look to qualify as a 'barn'......complete with a car.

Here's one that seems more like 'find barn' rather than barn find... :D

Re: Long term hibernation

Looks can decieve! It needed the gearbox mounts and prop doughnuts doing at 130K miles, then a fuel line split at the rear so I took it off the road. Children and house move took over, 10 years later it is still in Storage! Mostly good panels, excellent interior, mostly good under the bonnet just a ...

Re: Track day 15th of March 2014 Rockingham

Rockingham has a lot of turns / twists on the infield, can be heavy on tyres and on the forearms, but it's good fun as you get brave enough to do turn 1 flat out on the oval.

Classic barn finds

I suspect like others on here, I like to trawl through classic car sales and forums and it seems that many old cars are now listed as 'barn finds', I can only assume I'm one of the few folks that doesn't have a barn (I have a garage). Anyhow, as I live near some farms and was feeling a bit left out ...

Re: Ted's Alfasud Ti Racecar restoration.

Don't ask why, but I'd always assumed that the rear quarters would be fibreglass. Was it by choice to keep the steel ones originally? I assume they were good at the time it was first put together.

I will take that as a no likey :D

It's funny how taste changes, as back then I wanted to ditch the revolutions, wheras now I'd probably put the rev's back on.

Re: Suds and stuff

The Donington photo is either 2005 or 2006, I can't remember which, I copied from alfa racer.com

I remember when we had 2 grids at all circuits, and my first race being in position 32 on the grid at Donington in 2000, that was just the prod spec cars.

Series1 or series 2 sud shell 2 door wanted

Looking for (arn't we all!!) a solid s1 or s2 two door shell (so with a boot). Don't want or need any panels or interior, but prefer front screen to be in, and for it to roll, but just a bare, structurally solid shell. I can't weld so a stripped/ part done abandoned project would ideal, but not a ba...
