Re: A bit of nostalgia
Thanks Tim Great bit of nostalgia thanks for posting. I remember the #75 Sud well. I believe it would be circa 1975 that car was one of the first Suds to be prepared. Dad regularly came home in it even when fully caged and stripped out as regs allowed. And I was often dropped off at school in it com...

For some reason I’ve never managed to get to RR. I’ve also heard that Autosport International has become a shadow of its former self which is a shame.

Trackday
I know this idea had been discussed before but how many of you would be interested in attending a forum track day ? I think somewhere like donnington as it’s pretty central to the country. But feel free to suggest other tracks.

Re: VFV 784Y
Thanks for the update Shrew. I don’t know if anyone else noticed but it was originally a Westune supplied car (our logo was on the plates). Well chances are I actually made the number plates on that car. when I left school and started in the business it was one of my first jobs. Dad showed me the ro...

Re: Cambelt change (engine in)
Hi Ed. Changing the water pump whiskt your at it is a good idea. This can also be done with the engine in the car but obviously if it’s a crusty one you may want to remove the Rad to help with access.

Re: Cambelt change (engine in)
Hi Ed. Im assuming you’re dealing with a mech tappet 8v. It’s obviously a little tighter down there but it’s certainly possible to do with the engine in situ. It does help to remove the rad fan, alternator and bottom hose (mainly hyd tappet engines ) Apart from that just remove the cam belt covers a...

The sad End of an Era
Keep hold of your old Alfas and cherish them. Since Stellantis have announced that like Lotus all New Alfa Romeos from 2025 will be full EV only . Sadly I feel this is the final nail in the Coffin of a brand we all love. I’m still not convinced of the Green credentials of this new generation motor c...

Nice work. I think the colour coded bumper sections look great. They help break up the normally slab of black of the std bumper
Awesome work on the interior I have a pair of seats out of my spider. I may consider getting them re trimmed and put them in my Sud

Not seen it. I did hear a review from one of those Arty Farty cinema critic types. They didn’t appear to be a fan as they slated it.
Thankfully I don’t listen to people like that so will probably enjoy it. But I May wait till it’s on the telly via a streaming service.

Re: My 916 Spider
Oh yeah and hoods can become tatty and rough. At the moment mine isn’t too bad but there a co in Stockport that does decent quality ones for £1180. Btw I’d also go for Manual roof instead of the fancy hydraulic ones. They add significant weight and It’s just another level of “Go Wrongery” that i did...
