Keith,
P4s had rear disc axles together with those red painted single pot cast iron sliding calipers.
I have one that may get fitted to my Sud one day although it has aluminium bodied calipers similar to those fitted to Mk4 Golfs which are a fair bit lighter.
Thanks,
Adam

Thanks for your feedback Lauren
Funnily enough I bought some blue hylomar today
as I thought that there has to be some kind of seal between the two surfaces.

Re: Gearbox Oil
Hello Lauren, I've just acquired one of these sump pans also. Is the purpose of no gasket to enable the sump pan to provide effective bracing of the gearbox casing as I have read elsewhere or another reason? Have you used standard torque settings for the sump bolts? Is it really leak free even when ...

Re: 1800 8v with Nissan pistons.
Off topic but do any of you catalogue demons know if there a similarly low priced version suitable for a 16v? Not that I'm going to look at it now (too close to getting the sud finished with its existing engine) but I have a spare 16 valver that apparently has been "worked on" that I'd like to have ...

Rear Hub Grease Caps
Evening all
I'm looking for a pair of 42mm OD grease caps for the rear hubs on my sud.
These are smaller diameter than the ones on my manky spares and so there appears to be more than one size used.
Thanks,
Adam

I have an Alfa 33 rear axle with discs on it in my shed - it isn't fitted to my Sud, it has non standard calipers and it was originally from a P4 - I can post photos if needed.

Hello All,
I need two heater box clips, one of the clips that clamps the left and right side together and one of the clips that holds the control cable into the side of he box so that the fresh air flap can open and close.
Can anyone help?

Hello Chris,
I have one in my pile of stuff.
It's not in A1 condition but I'll search it out, post a photo and if you want it you can have it.
Cheers,
Adam

Re: AROC Motorsport plans for 2015
Thanks for the encouragement Tim, Looking at the calendar, if we get to Castle Combe and all is well then we would like to do another event. Pembrey looks interesting but I reckon is likely to clash with the MITCAR Sud collective bash which I would like to go to, so maybe we'll try Thruxton, Thanks,...

Re: AROC Motorsport plans for 2015
Thanks for the comments chaps, the mods I made I pinched / was inspired from others ideas anyway. I'll start a new thread shortly and add new pics as I go. As far as the AROC race is concerned, it'll be my son driving as he has kart racing experience and I'm likely to get in everyone's way. This is ...

Re: AROC Motorsport plans for 2015
I have a 1982 Sud that used to run in class F in the 90's - it's black.. I have sent a message to Richard Murtha to see if will be eligible to race as it is currently fitted with a 1.7 16v. I had a thread running on alfaowner that I abandoned, the work carried out up to the middle of 2013 carried ou...

I've just seen this on the AROC website and if my car is eligible I'm going to crack on and attempt the Castle Coombe event in May.

Re: DIY cooling system T Piece
Hello all, I haven't posted much here even though I registered in January.. I'm currently plumbing in the 16v engine in my Sud and will update progress generally in a separate topic. Both of my T-pieces were past it so rather than be over creative I didn't diy and used this for the 16x16x16 side (a ...

I have an 8v crossmember if you don't fancy patching the original up..
It may be an idea to post all parts required as there could be other stuff that other forum members have in their sheds.
Cheers,
Adam

Not a lot of progress on my Sud recently but just converted the front struts to coilovers so will plod on and post some updates soonish. ...
