The Spider passed its MOT passed with flying colours again today.

That is pretty cool be a great photo to frame and put up in the garage.

No Dave I didn’t I was at the “I don’t give a Sh17 anymore” stage I just wanted it gone. Such a shame as it was a really solid shell that only needed some cosmetic work. Structurally it was very sound. I really did tried my best to re home it to no avail. But it’s now history so onward and upward.

I still think #3 is a front engined bonnet. The leading edge looks too slopy for it to be rear deck lid (I May be wrong) it also appears to be a big flat bonnet with very few lines or bulges.
It’s certainly one of Tony’s more challenging pics.

It’s only got a few hours left I’m afraid. If it’s nice tomorrow I’ll be taking on its final ride. I’ve tried my hardest but I can’t even give it away it’s even got a V5 and clean title in my name. The shame is that it would need almost no structural work to be put back on the road. It’s all cosmetic.

Don’t know Tony. But I’m struggling with #3. I’m sure I’ll kick myself when you give us the answer.

For sale 1.7 16v boxer engine project the Engine code is. 30746 which Is a 33 1.7 16v (137 hp) lump. This engine lost a belt and had bent all the inlets on the RH bank. All the other valves appear ok and the heads are undamaged. I’m including 4 replacement inlet valves. All the valve springs buckets...

Hi Chris. Firstly If it’s got hyd tappets it’s most likely a late 33 IE engine. If you can scrape the boss to reveal the engine code it will help identify it.

I can believe that. I seem to recall the material was almost a vinyl fabric. I think it may of been a 3M product. I say this because I remember looking at brand new ones when I worked in our parts dept and they had 3M backing.
