I do have a NOS Alfasud one, unsure if the pipe is straight or angled, I was looking into pickin...

Re: Alfasud SI Ti 1976 Restoration
Repairs are looking great, I don't know how you and Kev find the time to get so much done between your regular posts. Top work. 8-) Thanks mate :) Its amazing how much rust these cars hide from view, it seems to me that if any corrosion is externally visable then expect major corrosion inside as th...

The spacer cleaned up good in the end and more etch primer added
Originally held in place with a peened over alloy pin that had long since corroded away I decided on something a little different which should look good when painted

Thought I would run an update on progress..... Re: TIx Restoration Project
Expect to find major corrosion at the base of the 'A' pillar as yours externally looks worse than mine and my car has needed weeks of work on the R/H side pillar (see thread!), mine had the scuttle panel replace in 1991 but nothing was done with the corrosion underneath, just covered over

Re: Dutch Sud Giardinetta restoration
i have seen RHD ones, but whether they were built that way from new or converted i don't know. seem to remember that cars were on sale in south africa though so that is probably where they came from in RHD form? they were never officially available for sale in UK though Yes you could be right there...

Original pre 1980 style number plates
If you are looking for the original style alloy plates with the raised plastic letters I can recommend 'Framptons' in Sheffield: http://www.pl8s.co.uk/index.html They are very good quality although I found the alloy edges needed a de-burr with some wet n'dry / steel wool & wet scotch to finish them ...

Re: Alfasud SI Ti 1976 Restoration
Just a heads up ref. no. plates As we can probably all remember cars in the UK up to about 1979 when new had aluminium no. plates with raised plastic letters, then for about 2 or 3 years one piece pressed aluminium ones and then from about 1982/3 the type still used today, plastic laminate. The ones...

Pretty sure it was only in LHD as it was never officially exported to RHD markets, I remember a very rusty red one on e-bay a few years ago in Scotland I seem to remember, think it made about 300 quid or soSteffenJ3316V wrote:Was it ever made in RHD?
