Re: Exhaust oil smoke
My valve guides were fine when my heads were overhauled, I only had seals on the inlet valves, but a new set of eight have been fitted, along with new exhaust valves.

Re: SPRINT RESURRECTION
Oh boy !!
You are really riding the rollercoaster on this build. Sorry to hear she still keeps throwing up surprises.
Rather naughty selling a screen surround for a saloon claiming it could be adapted to fit a Sprint. Hope your guys can sort things out for you.

Anyone else on this forum going that may not have let Ian Brookfield or Gary Walker know Looking forward to seeing you and your car again Keith Hi Gary, yes I have told Ian as he asked when I ordered some parts for the car, I am gutted as my old original metal expansion tank started leaking. I took...

Re: Zender Sprint from Finland
Well done, the Sprint looks fantastic. Nice and sharp and full credit to you. All that hard work has payed off and some nice upgrades as well. Personally, I would stick with the 5-spoke ACT wheels. I think they suit the car and as it has the Zender kit, the optional wheels would have been 5 spoke. T...

yes, rear crank seal is a bugger when you also have inboard brakes :? I still have not got around to swapping my new engine in yet. As you may remember when I went up to Scotland the original 1186cc engine was leaking. It is still in the car now, but will come out soon. I have not used the car much ...

Sorry, shame you couldn't share with someone else who needs bits for theirs.
Personally, I am with Tim and Gary re the wash wipe. The set back head lights, stainless bumpers and trims and clean tailgate add to the pure design and lightness look of the car.

Re: Auto Italia at Brooklands, 29th April (Part 1)
As always Lauren, a great selection of photos of some great finds. Very nice S2 green Sud, what a gem. Any Sixties model looks great with eye lashes, and I can imagine an LM002 would sell better now if launched as a new model than in the seventies. It is all about big and brawn on the roads now a da...

There must be so many cars like this laying about Lou. One good thing is it looks like it has been kept out of direct weather with access to air as well without being covered with a sheet to harbour the damp . All it needs now is someone who can save it, a new generation who will probably convert it...

They are not that clever are they.
This is why these sort of cars become trouble once they are about six years old. Look at all the Range Rovers that all have suspension faults.
