Hi Lauren, I had a low comp' reading on one cylinder prior to my engine rebuild and that turned out to be a snapped ring. My Indie said he'd never seen one before - luckily no damage to the bore.

As Kev says....the clip that holds the cables at the matrix end can pop off or not grip tight enough so you think the cable's moving but it's actually the whole cable.

Saw that car once at an NEC show so had a chat with the owner, being only slightly curious! :roll: :D Apparently the moggy was originally intended to have a flat4 engine designed for it but there wasn't the money, this guy built it as a tribute.
