Re: Alfasud fuel tank
Since we have a lot of knowledgeable people on CAF I was wondering whether we could somehow get our own fuel tanks made. Perhaps a specialist fabricators could copy an existing tank and do a discount for a bulk order? Where would we start?

Fair point Shrew. There’s so much deception going on on eBay I’m on high alert these days! The rating of this seller is still ZERO though.

Re: 33 suspension set ups
Oh and reply to your question I'm using Koni yellows with Powerflex ushes all round, AHM class F springs (really hard) and Compbrake adjustable top mounts. I have managed to drive to Spa a few times but its really only set up for trackdays. Quick question..what’s the difference between red and yell...

Re: Sprint 1.5 Veloce cloverleaf restoration
Thanks all, I would like to source another engine and undecided if to go 1.5 Veloce if available or 1.7. I believe the engine has been changed at some stage and leaning towards going 1.5 Veloce but does anybody have/know of one, preferably ready to fit ? Regards Nigel I’d have a word with John at J...

Re: eBay Scam?
Absolutely.. someone bought a Sprint rear arch repair section and a pair of wing rails (nos) for £50 with free postage off this seller. Hope it’s a real bargain but seems very cheap...junior wrote:Seems to be a lot more dodgy items on e bay. More being shut down as well.

eBay Scam?
Somethings not right about this seller, zero feedback, free postage on large items, cheap items. I could be wrong, if so apologies. Anyone any experience with this seller on eBay? https://m.ebay.co.uk/itm/alfa-sprint-grille-headlamps/202246358418?_trkparms=pageci%3A37990ae2-2d6a-11e8-bc70-74dbd1809c...

Never seen that dry ice trick before, has anyone else done it? For those that haven't seen the show they used dry ice over the thick bitumen substance on the floors which made it super brittle and easy to chip off.... Fancy trying it myself :D Wish I’d known about that trick before I’d taken to usi...

Re: 2002 Alfa 156 2.0 JTS Veloce
Hope it can be saved, very fond of the 156 . She looks exactly like my first one, veloce with teledials in silver. Destroyed by a minibus  IMO in its purist form, look how many manufactures now have hidden rear door handles and they don't all look as well designed as Alfas original in 1997.......

Ah, that’s a shame. Yes, my thoughts exactly. You don’t see many pre-facelift 156’s on the roads these days and the numbers will only go down. Easy restoration for someone, no bodywork issues to tackle at least lol

It’s in great shape bodily and everywhere you look, even under the bonnet looks nice and clean. I’m in Blackpool. The car starts and drives although the seized calliper holds it back. Think it’s been to Alfatune at some point. Well worth reviving.

2002 Alfa 156 2.0 JTS Veloce
Silver with black leather interior, 16” teledials, 98k, FSH, cambelt changed at 72k. I bought this of a colleague at work who moved to Dubai. She put it through an MOT but it failed on a few things. Brakes binding osr (calliper seized), worn discs, wipers, headlight not working. Worst thing could be...
