Re: 33 suspension set ups

Going back a few posts, there are a few variations of the koni's, not just the red versus yellow, there were also nine adjustable, and adjustable on or off the car. in other words some were a fixed but improved rate, which if i recall correctly was actually a little softer compression and rebound th...

Looks smashing to me Dicky, nice one.

As a guy with two 33's with the spec option of the Alcantara Recaro's, i still think the diamond cloth pattern Recaro's are possibly the nicest, they are superb seats :D

Re: Today I Am Mostly Listening Too ...

Very much still the 80's eh! moving forward a little time, and dabbling in hifi as i do nowadays, i thought i'd demo some new equipment with a great old album from back in the day, Loud, by Timo Maas. I've followed these for some years, always a nice listen, lovely production, but i'm sure it's not ...

Ceratainly not my cup of tea, but finally i got to spend some time on this 230sl pagoda that has been hanging around wanting "a bit of work" :D finally straight, and in primer, so we'll see where it goes from here. if i'm honest. i'll be glad to see the back of this inherited job, as i'd much rather...

Re: Alfa 33 struts, konis avo leda etc???

Hi Lou yes, everything is as stock at the moment, so i've ordered a full set of (Spax SSX) springs to suit the stock dampers. whilst everything appears good with the dampers currently, the SSX springs are a 30mm drop and progressively wound with around 25% extra stiffness, so i would rather have a p...

Re: S3 33 front screen.

I had a friend at National Windscreens price me one up a couple of years ago, seemed to have no problem whatsoever with the listing and stock, choice of tints, bronze, green and clear if i recall correctly. circa £130 fitted seems to be what i remember Paul, but it may have changed a little by now, ...

Alfa 33 struts, konis avo leda etc???

Hi all

Does anyone have any series 3 suspension struts for my J plate 33?

Preferably an aftermarket upgrade version such as the koni or avo etc.

Not full race, they are for a road car.

Thanks in advance

Shrew

No, not 4wd for me, give me all the power and I'll sort the steering out! The 14" rfx will be coming off and for sale just as soon as i can have it rolling round on something else. I've earmarked some 16" borbet A's, or 5 spoke 155 speedlines as possibilities that i have already in stock, but ...

I hear what you're saying, but by the looks of the photo's, and the other parts they have for sale, they consistently appear to be on a garage/workshop floor, so i would think that the parts do actually exist. As a business, its surprising how cheap postage and shipping can be once you have a UPS bu...

Hi Lou just to help things along, i can confirm a few benefits of these little welders, that actually do pack a good punch. 30a - 150amp settings means low enough for bodywork, even italian panels! yet good enough for some good sized fabrication too. my work colleague has a very early version from w...

£400 a corner? in all honesty, it aint that bad really. Ohlins, Penske etc would probably be double that, for the reasons of infinite confusion from over adjustability! D2 suspension is probably half of that price, certainly well under £1k, and has earned itself a good reputation on the track ...

Re: Wheel spacers and lowering

For the 14x6 wheels to reach out to a similar width to the 7j 15's, you'll need in the region of 17mm spacing.

Still nothing mate, ghost in the machine?

Email me directly bud, Petrolheadshrew@gmail.com

I worked for a dealership with both of those franchises for retail stock, but we had Silkolene in the workshop quantities, so i used a lot of that over the years, and it was always su...
