Re: Who owns a gt jtdm on here ?

I have one of these. It's a BlackLine too 8-)
Had it a fortnight. Love it. I'll love it even more after I replace the awful Chinese 'tyres' on the front!

Alfasud prices on the up?

Just browsing the wonderweb today and came across this:

That's some price they're asking. :o
Has anyone got any comments?

Alfasud Sprint Veloce 1.5 owners handbook/instruction manual

I have a full original document pack with my recently purchased Sprint Speciale including service coupons, Alfacare booklet, Pioneer radio/cassette user guide, dealer network guide etc etc but unusually the owners handbook is in German! :| So has anybody got an owners handbook/instruction ma...

Re: Bought an Alfasud today....

I loved that red engine block too Richard. Glad to see that you're making such good progress but then the car's so sound to start with. It's been in good hands with Phil and me before you acquired it. If you want any help with it's history, just give me a shout, OK? Did you know for instance that yo...

Re: Bought an Alfasud today....

I had a blast with the car for the decade I owned her. :D If we hadn't moved house and if I hadn't got so many other Alfas in my ownership and if the chance to buy the Sprint hadn't come up and if I had an undisclosed private income and if I hadn't lost my garage in York and if I and my other half h...

Re: Bought an Alfasud today....

No. Phil put the 1.7 engine in. Rebuilt it himself I believe. It's also got the close-ratio gearbox from a 1.2 Ti which, to the best of my knowledge, was also work carried out by Phil in the late 1990s bsfore I bought it off him in 2004.

Re: My Sprint Speciale

A lovely day here in Gods Own Country so I finally got round to giving the Sprint Speciale a bit of a wash and took several photographs for the Insurance Company's agreed value scheme.

I share them here with you. Enjoy:
The rubber rear spoiler that was unique to the Speciale. It was actually a factory approved accessory.

The non-standard Speciale side stripes. These will be replaced with accurate replicas when funds allow.

Re: My New AlfaSud 1.5 QV

You're almost certain to get loads of torque steer with an engine of that specification regardless of brake/suspension configuration unless a L.S.D. such as the one made by Quaiffe is fitted (if you can get hold of one). Either that or install the full running-gear from a 33 P4. That's been done bef...

Re: My New AlfaSud 1.5 QV

Don't convert them to 33 suspension. The car drives so much better with the Sud suspension IMO :) I'd have to agree with that. I've driven a 'Sud with the 33 outboard brake set-up and for me it was not as sweet as driving a 'Sud with inboard brakes. The car seems to lose something.... If it was me ...

Re: My Sprint Speciale

Do it Kev. I had fun in mine today. Played with an Audi A4 on the A1079. Re: Bought an Alfasud today....

I was really sorry to part with this car. It was a case of too many 'Suds and not enough money though so something had to go and since I'd been enjoying this particular Ti since 2004 when I bought her from Mr Gotts, and had another three 'Suds at the time and a 147 as well, after ten years it ...

The car's a good one alright. Used to be mine. Glad it's gone to a good home.
Here's some pictures of her before I took the wings off for the welding to commence (and before I ran out of money!)
Hope they inspire you to carry on Richard....

More photos on the way when I get a minute Kev. Strange (or maybe it isn't!) seeing how it's thirty-odd years since these cars were introduced that they attract so much attention. That was it. ;) The Sprint was picked up from Surrey yesterday morning. As a result the truck and the 'Sud spent last night in a ...

Finally delivered this morning.
After a long wait due to a house move and the awful flooding down south, which is where I bought the car, I've finally got my hands on my recently acquired Alfasud Sprint Speciale.
It was well worth the wait! :D

It arrives at the end of next week. I'll post pictures on here then and you guys will be the first to see it. 8-)
