Crazy idea a car show, what will they think up next.

Re: Honda NR500/NR750 engine....Oval pistons...
They must have balanced and measured every part so very, very carefully to get those pistons to work at such high rpm.
Quite a success just to get it to run. Would also have been interesting to run a single cylinder one as a proper motorbike.

Re: general chat thread
Found an enormous pile on my car last week and the only thing about that is big enough to poo that much is a Buzzard,
or possibly a Swan, though much rarer to see go over.
It looked more like pigs could fly by the amount of mess, on a perfect hit bombing run.

Sud calipers
Met a chap who is struggling to finish a Sud, seen him a few times, helped him a few times and he is a genuine guy not a con man. He needs a pair of front calipers as his are rusted solid. He has welded most of the bodywork, but now running out of funds. So if anyone is prepared to let go a pair at ...

Re: Made my day.
Would that be at Tanc Barratts place? Yes, though I tend to view it as Eric Weavers new neighbour. He does get an interesting mix in aside from endless Intergrales. Eric and I were most amused when I took the Sud to Eric's for a check on a tyre and the whole of Tanc's workforce came in to che...

Of course. Far too easy for you.
The owner drives it most days and cherishes it. I was surprised at how nice the cabin was and again the chap working on it said the owner found it very comfortable.

I would look very closely at the fitting of the rubber box around the fuel filler cap as I suspect its fitted wrong or split and allowing fumes out. Good luck.

You would think that as engine bays get more compact and cramped it would be better to use a remote location for the filter so that servicing would not require the need to remove stuff. Then again we are all silly old sods who think practically   Yep, how stupid is that ! You will be want...

That oil filter is madness, why would you tuck it so far away? Decision made by a committee would be my guess or one bloke just had his ego threatened and so would not compromise and agree to something sensible. Had not realised they had plastic springs either, could that be better or worse for the ...

This has been a hot topic on the forum many times before that Fitting poly bushes to a sud is generally considered a Bad move. The std spec of the suds suspension is what give the car it’s sublime road holding and handling. When you start to mess with the bushes you lose some of the compliance and ...

I have no idea what they will do, but someone has to cater for the Luddites among us. Perhaps that is the business one needs to get into ....en...
