Why not just go with a different ecu like Omex, MS etc and put trumpets directly on top of the TB? You will gain the same amount of power and you won't have any flat spots. A lot cheaper too

If you are going with hot cam eg 300* you need to get some materiel off the camhouse. Otherwise you can not adjust the valves to specs. That's what i have been told anyway. Please correct me If I'm wrong

I've got some 306* C&B cams I would like to put in my 1,7 8V mech tappet engine. According to my mates memory you need to machine down the cam house by 1 mm to be able to adjust the valves correctly with the shims.

Thanks for all the encouragement fellas, will need it. Will do updates as work begins and progresses. Started on instruments tonight as I had a spare set of clocks so they are all being cleaned up. Yes try a different AFM. They do tend to fail now with age and people trying to improve them

I don't know anybody here that use distilled water. We just use tap water and mix it with antifreeze. Don't have any problems with corroded heads

Thanks Kev I did find that but i don't know what to do with that information. What I'm looking for is how much they lift the valves eg 10 mm and the duration on the cam eg 282* @ 0,1 ,mm lift
