Re: 1984 Gold Cloverleaf Sud Resto

That looks fantastic. Your body work guy doesn't hang around!
I would use something like Dinitrol over Waxoyl though. I think it works better.

Re: Rare colour sud ti in France for sale.

Is that Faito Green Metallic like my '78 Super? I didn't realise this was used on the Series 3? I though it was a late Series 1, Series 2 and early Sprint colour only.

Re: Carb help

IMPORTANT UPDATE: Last Saturday had the opportunity to test the new carb in action when took part with the Alfa Romeo Cyprus Club in a circuit meeting. Well the car had more power and speed on the straight line but around curves the engine was suffering with fuel starvation/flat spots. It looks tha...

Re: Carb help

Hi there. Mine is a 1978 Alfasud Super 1286cc as well and I have recently replaced the Dellorto FRDA32F single choke with a Weber 32/36 DGV 5A manual choke. I have purchased the weber kit that includes a free flow air filter and most importantly the 1bbl to 2bbl manifold adapter. The engine has now...

Re: Carb help

That makes sense. I'll keep a look out for the manifold. There seems to be loads of carbs around for sale but I can't seem to find a suitable manifold. The wheels are Momo's. They've been on the car since new. They're really light and I suspect they may be magnesium.

Re: Carb help

Hi, Thanks for the reply. I did replace the water pump when I replaced the belts and tensioners. It's better to be safe than sorry! I've no current photos of the car as it's away getting rewired at the moment. The only photo I have is a bad one from my when it came back from the painters over a year...

Carb help

Hi all, I have a 1286 Super which I'm slowly putting back on the road. The engine only has 68000 miles up and is in great condition. I've just given it a full service i.e belts, plugs, filters, full exhaust etc and I'd like to start pepping it up a bit. Would the Weber 32 DIR twin choke carb from a ...

It's a strange one. It wasn't registered until Jan '79 but still has the S1 dash. My Super was manufactured in Dec '77, registered in Aug '78 but has the S2 dash.

Re: My '78 Alfasud Super

Good man Ed! I brought your car to Gerry Campbell of Ti Autos to have a look. It had a carpet of corrosion underneath, a bent gear selector fork I think it was and the spring for the choke was missing that if you used choke it wouldn't turn it off again so it would choke/smother the engine... Thank...

Re: My '78 Alfasud Super

I'm in West Cork. I've had it 3 years now and it's been in the bodyshop for most of that time. The bulkhead was in a bit of a state and required quite a bit of surgery. It all fine now though! I've been going through the mechanicals from top to bottom and should have it back on the road in a few wee...

My '78 Alfasud Super

Hi all, I just like to introduce my '78 1.3 Super. I spent a lot of time trying to buy this car as it's my favourite model in my favourite colour. It's just come back from the bodyshop where it has received new arches, rear valance, sills and some work on the bulkhead followed by a complete respray....
