Hi Guys
Two questions:
1. Is the front suspension on a P4 the same as a regular 33?
2. Can one still get Koni's for it?
We have had new springs made for the front (slightly lower and much stiffer) and now really need some adequate shock absorbers.
Cheers

My understanding, from a previous owner, is that it is a series two (with original single carb engine) with plastic bumpers from series 3 fitted from new.

Re: 33 Fuel Pump Relay fuse
It's a 1992 Permanent 4 so I assume it is the same as any other 33. Can't find the specs of the fuel pump in any of the manuals either! First thing tested when it first failed was the pump itself so I dont think it has a problem - i'll keep that in mind though, if the the pump seizes occassionally t...

Thanks Lou - I'll do the ohm meter check.
The relay (with fuse) is under the bonnet next to the battery not in the fuse box. I too can't find anything on it's specs.

33 Fuel Pump Relay fuse
Hi All What should the amperage be for the fuse in the fuel pump relay? Mine has a 15 amp fuse that keeps popping. It's just back from the autoelectrician who replaced the relay and tested the rest of the circuit. I'm suspicious that it's the fuse that's not right. Is there a reference somewhere of ...

Thanks for the pic Mufasa - I have a black wagon and am trying to decide whether to put those wheels or GTA wheels on it. I am in the anti-phone dial wheels camp but might be convinced by the GTA wheels. It's a 2.5V6 black manual wagon and I have a 3l sitting in a dead 166 that is likely to find it'...

Re: P4 Wheel Alignment Spec?
Turns out there was something wrong with the front struts. Have had them "rebuilt" with parts that were in storage and now the struts don't move sideways is you rock the car - and the front is sitting at about the same height as the back! (photos to come). I have a small weld to do on the exhaust - ...

Here's the photo. So this is standard?
I'm loving the way it feels with the 4wd - yes there's all the juddering on tight maneouvering, braking, ... but I punted it around a tight corner and it just pulled out of the corner obviously pushing with all 4 wheels!

Re: P4 Wheel Alignment Spec?
It's a 92. I've been talking with my son (and co-owner) over the weekend and now we're not sure whether someone has been monkeying around with the suspension - and whether that means the correct specs will be wrong. It looks lowered at the front and raised at the back. Could be someone has put a sta...

P4 Wheel Alignment Spec?
Does anyone have the wheel alignment spec for a P4? Is it different from a regular 33?
I've got the 4wd reconnected for the first time since we bought it. So excited! New tyres on some original P4 wheels but want to be sure that it's set up right.

Drop the whole engine and gearbox. I now have a hoist that makes it trivial but before that worked out a simple method using an engine hoist. You do have to get under the car to get to the gearbox mount but other than that you just unbolt the front cross member and the front gearbox mount. Use the e...

Hi Guys I'm having a 1500 engine fixed up. I have a number of engines sitting around so was just getting the best bits from each. So, 24V leaf?
I have a white 12V leaf (in need of that rolling restoration of which you speak - but first to get it rolling!)
Have you heard of re-gassing the leaf's electronic struts? I'm planning on doing this for mine.
Cheers

Re: My three boxers
Yes, the white one is the P4. Favourite? Hard! Each has it's merits. The red is very cool - early TI fitted with a nice fresh twin carb - interior is really good condition. The yellow is faster - for some reason the engine just goes better (also has some race car bits that may be helping) The P4 is ...
