Everything’s possible Dave but you may struggle refitting the roof unless you remove the roll cage it would be ideal for some one who has a rusty AF std car but it would be a lot of work.

Chris. That is certainly unusual. I have seen similar problems in the past but it’s rare. Is there a chance it could be coming from the inlet manifold gasket area ? Also the ally washer on your sender unit looks a bit ropey

This is 1.2mm obviously different parts of the car are pressed from differing gauges of steel so try to use similar thicknesses where appropriate. Everything is repairable Dave. It’s just a case of time and money (if your not doing it yourself) that’ll be a fair old job but certainly not impossible

Sad to see this Dave. That’s quite a serious rust problem. Being so near the suspension area I know the car is MOT exempt but to be honest I wouldn’t use it. If you did have an accident the rozzers could throw the book at you.
