Re: Shift boot
Yes, came out great I thought. They can make hand brakes boots too - they will do that as custom work. You will need to give the the dimensions. Write to them and they will ask you details. The shift boot cost me 100euros (probably close to what Id pay for the org. rubber one). I'm probably going to...

Shift boot
The rubber shift boot on my car was full of holes and I could not find a replacement. I had a custom one made: These guys made it to my specs. They probably have my info on hand. Ships from Poland where they make them. I'm happy with the quality of the leather and I was able to choose the stitching ...

Re: Hello from the Netherlands
Thanks Kev Its in pretty good shape. Some rust on the floors that will need to be cutout and new metal put in. Still strong at the moment. The 1.5 engine is a very nice upgrade to the single carb 1.3. It will need a rebuild in a few years I suspect. I use this car for long drives around Europe - mos...

Relays - Wipers and Headlights
Question: Does the 1983 Sud have factory installed relays for the headlights? I can see a few relays by the firewall but not sure what they are. Would live to have a wire diagram. Surprised the owners manual does not include one. My wipers are very slow - wondering if anyone installed a relay for th...

Re: Sagging seats
Spring replacement was another option but finding the correct length springs with the right tension seemed to be a difficult task. Perhaps one day I'll give it a go as plan C. For now, this works very well.

Sagging seats
After years of sitting on an extra foam cushion due to sagging springs in my '83 Sud SC I decided to pull the seats out and see what could be done about it. My first attempt was very simple - I stuck two sticks of Aluminum I-beam under the springs held in by the metal flange around the edges. While ...

Re: Hello from the Netherlands
Thanks for the helpful replies!
I will check them out.
I've finally figured out how to fix my saggy seats on my sud... I think proper etiquette is to start a new thread.

Re: Hello from the Netherlands
Now the questions.... where do you guys get parts? I've been using a guy out of Athens Greece (with a UK website) for years.
https://www.alfa-restoration.co.uk/shop/
But I'm always looking for another source for hard to find things (like all the parts!)

Hello from the Netherlands
Greetings to fellow Sud owners. I'm an American living part of the year in NL where I have kept my 1983 SC (with 1.5L) for 11 years. In the states Im a 105 guy as Suds are non existent and pretty much unknown. I've got a couple of Supers, a 1600Z and a Dino spider. The sud is my summer vacation car ...
