Re: The sad End of an Era
Has anyone else seen the new Alfa Romeo “Junior”. Full ev small cross over apparently it was going to be called the Milano but the Italian government weren’t happy as it’s built in Poland. Now I have nothing against the Poles as a nation But an Alfa without an engine and not even built in Italy !!!!...

Re: How reliable are Alfas (Stellantis) new generation of engines
Thanks for those words of wisdom Dave. Sadly I have to dissagree with you on the Maserati =reliability front. And sadly the Skoda isn’t going to go on forever. It’s now at 120k miles and is starting to give us a few issues Don’t get me wrong it’s nothing disastrous which is why we’re considering kee...

Re: How reliable are Alfas (Stellantis) new generation of engines
Hi Guys Thanks for all your feedback and opinions all very welcome and points duly noted. Sadly I feel that no matter what manufacturer we go for some element of “cheapo” build quality on significant components will be evident. I think this is more or less the way things are designed and manufacture...

Re: How reliable are Alfas (Stellantis) new generation of engines
Hi Tim in a nutshell the thing that’s put us off BMWs both 3 and 5. Is the tech. And also the fact that on cars at similar price points you get a pile more tech and toys on the Merc. The C class has recently had a facelift and the interiors are much improved and they make almost everything else look...

Re: How reliable are Alfas (Stellantis) new generation of engines
I wouldn’t have a Range Rover if they begged me today we’ve whittled the list down a bit. Eliminated so far 5 series Volvo Tonale Mustang Kia stinger Jaaaaaaag. XE Still to be assessed are Alfa Stelvio , Giulia Probably excluded the QV due to running costs and 19 MPG So far the 2023 Merc C class AMG...

Re: How reliable are Alfas (Stellantis) new generation of engines
Thanks Tim. We’re looking at something 1-2 yrs old and really fancy a Giulia obviously I’d like to service it myself and if I can get the relevant info that doesn’t phase me. We’ve decided to let the Porsche go as it rarely get any use. We’ll be keeping the Skoda for local runs and trips to the Tip ...

How reliable are Alfas (Stellantis) new generation of engines
Quickie for all members. I’m currently in the market for a new daily driver. So far The short list includes an Alfa Giulia. We would like a QV but that maybe wishful thinking. (But not out of the question) The most likely choice would be a Veloce 2.0 turbo. Apparently these are a 2.0 4cyl 16v turbo....

Andrew. I agree with John on the “free gratis” front. Surely it’s worth a cheeky EBay listing. You should get a decent price for it And certainly too good to break for parts

Hi Keith. That photo was on the entry to copse at silverstone it probably the 1975/6 international tourist trophy event I say that because we’re could remove the bumpers and run bigger wheels than the regular touring car championship. I was at that event but only been about 10/11 yo but that didn’t ...

Re: A bit of nostalgia
Thanks Tim Great bit of nostalgia thanks for posting. I remember the #75 Sud well. I believe it would be circa 1975 that car was one of the first Suds to be prepared. Dad regularly came home in it even when fully caged and stripped out as regs allowed. And I was often dropped off at school in it com...

I know this idea had been discussed before but how many of you would be interested in attending a forum track day ? I think somewhere like donnington as it’s pretty central to the country. But feel free to suggest other tracks.

The sad End of an Era
Keep hold of your old Alfas and cherish them. Since Stellantis have announced that like Lotus all New Alfa Romeos from 2025 will be full EV only . Sadly I feel this is the final nail in the Coffin of a brand we all love. I’m still not convinced of the Green credentials of this new generation motor c...

Not seen it. I did hear a review from one of those Arty Farty cinema critic types. They didn’t appear to be a fan as they slated it.
Thankfully I don’t listen to people like that so will probably enjoy it. But I May wait till it’s on the telly via a streaming service.

Re: Sud front wing
Hi Junior. I’m pretty sure the Twin cam oil cap won’t fit your beta. The Nord cap just has two little external tangs that engage and run around the outside of the casting on the rocker cover. Whereas the Beta cap has a steel finger arrangement that engages and runs around the inside of the cam cover...
