Found it!!
It was hiding coiled up under the loom under the air vent tray where it comes through the bulkhead.
Thanks for the help!

Rev counter feed ?
Quick question...
Where does the rev counter take its feed from? I'm trying to decipher my wiring bundle.

Re: Front Suspension Arms
With 33 struts its not quite as straight forward as sud ones due to the thickness of the mounting flange.
I drew it up on CAD and to get back to 1 degree neg camber, worst case the top bolt needs to be slotted just under 4mm.

Re: Front Suspension Arms
Interesting points of view. My sud is running 33 16v struts and outboard brakes at the front. I think the first thing to do is the sort the camber. At the current ride height it's nearly 3 degrees. Even with no toe it's all over the place under hard acceleration. It seems options for correcting this...

Front Suspension Arms
The 5m is now back on the road and with its new found power its highlighted the inadequacy of the front suspension bushes... Also where the car is lowered the geometry is all to cock. The Sud is running late alfa 33 16v struts and outboard brakes. I'm looking for recommendations... I could replace a...

Re: Alfasud batter tray colour. Body colour or black?
Mine is painted black
Only reason is that I forgot to give it to the paint shop when the car was repainted!
I would image they we installed before the cars were painted and the lack of paint beneath the bolted part helps the rust to develop nicely in that area.

Thread resurrection...
So the mounts do not actually 'fit', you need to modify the holes in the shell?
How much do they misalign by?

Re: Windscreen Woes
Now a few weeks on, I have an update. (I know you all must be dying to know progress...) With some help from John, the screen is now in the car. John confirmed the screen I acquired is indeed a later taller screen and it fitted using a later S3 rubber with no metal insert. https://pbs.twimg.com/medi...

Re: Windscreen Woes
Hi John. I was going to give you a call in the next couple of days. Thanks for the info. You have confirmed what I had suspected following the information from Pilkington, that I need a 635mm screen. Does this also mean that if I get s solid rubber with no insert the screen should fit my car? (For n...

Re: Windscreen Woes
Thanks for the quick replies. The car was imported in the early 1990s and was declared as a 1977 on a S plate. The original screen was not bonded it, it was held in by a conventional rubber with the metal inserts, as was the rear. The rear went back in OK. I have the info from Pilkington, but it doe...

Afternoon all. As you may have seen I'm restoring my 5m. Its back from paint and assembly is progressing well, except for the windscreen... https://pbs.twimg.com/media/Dj5iixnWsAENPCd.jpg The windscreen just wont fit. We have tried 6 times now, 2 sets of fitters. A quick back story... The screen is ...

Complete 1.7 8v engine
I have a 1.7 8v engine for sale. Complete with all ancillaries and carbs. I don't have a lot of information about its history but it ran well before it was removed. I kept it for a spare for my sud but now need the space. Pictures to follow. Has been stored indoors in a dry workshop. Looking for £350

Complete 1.7 16v engine and loom 68K miles
I have a complete 16v engine complete with loom I took out of a car a couple of years ago. Dry workshop stored since. Totally complete including loom. It has covered 68,000 (ish) miles. I have photos and paperwork to back this up. Rocker covers were leaking a bit so I have bought new gaskets which w...

Alfasud Series 1 bumper overrider trims?
Morning all.
I recently stripped my bumpers to polish them. When I stripped I found that many (about 1/2?) of the trims that sit between the overrider and the bumper are split. (I will add a photo below). Does anybody have any of these trims about still that are not split?
