I'll educate the MoT guy next time I'm there.
He is a child of 45 so still has a lot to learn.
Powerflex bushes prices are through the roof!
Alfashop have rubber ones, but say for 33 only.......I thought Sud/ Sprint/ S1 33 were all the same

Rear arm bushes
Just passed the MoT.......but got an advisory on spongy bushes in the four rear arms.
Daft prices from Powerflex on Ebay!
Is there anything sensibly priced out there?
Prefer original rubber.

The bumpers on my S2 Sud are also attractive.
And they have stood up to being outside for the last few years.

For LED bulbs have a read of "A worthwhile mod" on P2 of the Sud section.
For crunchy gears, learn to double de clutch
For elec window fuses/relays look at your wiring diagram......or ask Alex!!

Re: Alfasud S3 Wiper Arm
I'd be surprised if Justsuds doesn't have one?
I presume you have wiper arms that push on to splined drive bushes.
A good upgrade is late Sprint wiper mech with arms that fasten with a nut.....and don't fly off.
See P11 of this section titled "Wipers"

Yes, the TS cars I had seemed to use more than their fair share of oil.
I never really understood why.
But they needed regular topping up, which of course not every owner does.

Re: National Alfa Day 2022 - Part 1
"How many left" website seems to be still going. I thought it had been wound up. So interesting to see that just over 100 Suds and Sprints were licenced last year. So, a turnout of over 60 at NAD was amazing. Also interesting to see, that the number of licenced cars has been slowly increasing in the...

Interesting to see the jig in use on top of the turrets and front valance.
Do the bodyshop have manufacturers dimensions, or do they just check for square/level etc?
I think Lou on here has AR body dims if needed?

Stunning photographs I must say!
And an excellent turnout of 64 suds.
I didn't think there were that many left on the road.
Are there any figures for this?

I think a battery tray and drain pipe would be a good idea to avoid acid spillage/corrosion.
Pity they didn't fit one originally.
I think the X1/9 had one as original.

Re: SPRINT RESURRECTION
Looks a lot better after a clean up!
There is an open pocket under the floor where the rear trailing arm bolt fits, to allow the bolt to be removed.
Some years ago, the meatheads at my local MoT place welded plates over, having told me there was corrosion there!

Re: Exhaust oil smoke
Ian at Justsuds tells me that Sud valve guides rarely wear.
But to check for play by rocking side to side.
He also says to use 8 oil seals (sorry Craig!)
He stocks the oil seals, and can get the guides in to order.

Exhaust oil smoke
Just did a 300 mile blast in my S2 sud. It has a 1.5, 95 bhp engine. Had rebore and new pistons and rings a bit back. Exhaust smoke becoming evident on cold start up recently. But on a long uphill road ,under load, quite a trail of smoke behind me. I did wonder if one of the new rings had failed. Bu...
