1976 Alfasud ti For Sale

Hi All Sadly, it is time to sell my Alfasud. It is a 1976 South African 4 door ti with a later 1500 engine (twin Weber 36's). I have posted the ad on Car and Classic but would be great if a real Alfasud enthusiast were to buy it. https://www.carandclassic.co.uk/car/C1256814 Please contact me by PM i...

Re: Very rare 2600 Berlina for sale in South Africa

Lovely looking car. What would it sell for here? Importing a car from SA is quite a bit of work and not cheap. There are a number of hoops to jump through in SA (not expensive, just time consuming) but the shipping, duty and VAT on this side will see the total landed price of that car end up being a...

Alloy Rims on Ebay

Saw these rims on eBay:

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/252253238409

They look very corroded but are they too far gone to be refurbished? I love the retro style of them and the price is ok but I worry that they may have become porous and brittle. Opinions?

Re: New Member Introduction

Superb! I love looking at early Suds. SA models always intrigued, mainly as the locals prefer "hot" versions of conventional European motors - hence Basil von Rooyen Little Chev, Ford Perana, homologation Alfa GTV6. I read there was a version of the 1300 Alfasud with twin 44 IDFs - that must have b...

Re: New Member Introduction

Alfasam, the Rally is like a unicorn, everyone's heard of them, nobody has actually seen one. :D From what I remember, it was a limited edition which did not sell well and I doubt there is a single one left. I've only seen pictures. You are right, Alfa SA used a mish-mash of parts and trims to creat...

Re: New Member Introduction

Hi there, and welcome to the Forum. Is this by any chance your car pictured when it was in SA :?: I have a large collection of Alfasud related pics on my external hard drive and thought I might have seen the car before. Lovely 4 door Ti by the way. Are the matt black window surrounds original? A ni...

Re: New Member Introduction

Seats look interesting, any more pics? Sorry, not many decent pics, these were some I took quickly with my mobile for insurance purposes. The seats were re-upholstered about 10 years ago. I'm pretty sure that's not an original Sud colour but works reasonably well imo. The rear seats are like new an...

Yep, 4 doors rule, not that we had any choice in SA, they were all 4 doors! :D

Hi petrolhead, just to let you know, I found the ebay listing and bought them as I didn't want to lose them to someone else. I would be happy to cover your ebay costs so you don't lose out. You are welcome to contact me at robgill2004 at gmail dot com.

Hi Smashcat, welcome to the forum! You have a nice Alfasud there. Will you be taking it to some of the Alfa shows this year? They tend to be very enjoyable for us Alfa addicts! Thanks alfasuddriver, yes, I would love to take it to a few shows, I will be attending to a few mechanical issues with the...

New Member Introduction

Hi all, I registered a while ago but haven't got around to posting a "hello" yet so thought it was time. I moved from South Africa to the UK 2 years ago and brought my Sud with me. I've owned and driven Suds since I was 16 back in Zimbabwe and my current one is a 1976 S1 ti manufactured in SA. Unlik...

Hi petrolhead, I am very interested in the calipers, do you still have them? If you do, price is right so no haggling from me and we can arrange the details.
