Re: Anyone got a 1500 block?

If there are a good source of 1700 parts available, you could build the 1600cc screamer?

Most who did it, liked it, and i'm sure LouLou can probably explain it and supply it!

I do believe he had a small number of issues to sort out, it was by no means Ed China's finest hour i was told, and Brewer would sell his Granny a lemon so that doesn't surprise me either!

Re: VFV 784Y

Hi Lou That car ended up near me in Nottingham, i spotted it at the guys business which is near the Notts County FC Ground, and wandered over for a chat. I can't remember his name now, but a nice guy, also had a 33 too if i recall correctly that he wanted some spares off me at for at some point. I s...

Re: Funding our forum

Thank you Lou for this post, it is serving the purpose well and has certainly begun a healthy discussion on the topic, one that myself and Kev have not been too comfortable with having with our members for all the reasons mentioned here, so it's great that it's members themselves that have both rais...

Well, I can't really add anything to that Kev, perfect summing up of the status quo. For those who feel so inclined, it is best if donations can be made by PayPal, as that's how I currently fund the running and maintenance costs of the site, forum and care package. Please use the following PayPal ad...

Thank You very much Tony! Re: Exhaust oil smoke

As a quick rule, oil smoke on the throttle is combustion chamber leak by, ie oil scavenge and or piston rings, worn bore etc, But off the throttle smoke, or immediately following a gear change, or idle at lights, junction etc you get a small cloud clearance pulling away, is usually valve stem seals,...

I'm afraid is time chaps and chappettes, i cant do this car justice, and i don't want it to do another winter out in the cold :| Some of you will know the car already, and what little work it needs in reality to be something quite special and very very rare, but go it must, so here is the link to an...

F399 KRR, anyone know of its existence?

Hi all

A close friend of mine is interested to know if his old 75 3.0 V6 is still in circulation, and even if its available for him to own again.

Does anyone know if this black beauty is still about?

Thanks in advance

Re: Any takers on my 33?

Things are pressing a little in the space department, so this summer I could really do with seeing this one sold.

I'm paying for storage for another car and need the space back, something has to give so are their any interested parties here?

Suggestions welcome...

Thanks

Re: Getting rid of paint/powder coat without blasting

There are no "paint strippers" available over the counter that will strip a powder coat. The best we have in the UK is probably Langolds, way better than even the original nitromors of old, but still useless against a powder coat I'm afraid. Across the pond, use "Aircraft Stripper", proper nasty stu...

For as long as I've known, where the BLS team and Alfa Romeo Sud, 33 etc race car performed, one particular Shrubb family friend and firm fan also went. Re: My Dads new old 156

I can't think of a factory 205 gti that resembles teledials? :| I think I dislike the teledials, because they remind me so much of the four leaf Cloverleaf alloys of the XR3, an utterly disgusting looking wheel for a car, in my opinion of course. I dislike most factory fitted alfa wheels in fairness...

Not as bad as that, but that's just where my old 75 veloce was at its worst too.

Typical area of concern I think for the 75, and sadly the reason so many fell by the wayside, it quite a job just getting at it eh crank!

What's the plan now, fabricate as close as possible?
