I can now get on with the important business of making it look pretty!

We have had to restore a previous backup as the upgrade completely FUBAR'd the database.

We've lost maybe two weeks of posts but it's much better than the potentially nightmare scenario of losing everything!

This is a 'feature' apparently!

The messages stay in your outbox to allow for editing - they only disappear from the outbox when the recipient has actually collected it....

I'm just looking into a method of changing that option - as it's very confusing..!
