Re: Wanted: Alfasud Ti S2 clips for skirt attachment to sill

Since these S2 Ti unique clips are an absolute unobtanium I had them reproduced by 3D print. The prototype was tested yesterday and considered a good solution. It's a reproduction so therefore not 100% the same as the original, but the external appearance is similar/same and most importantly the fun...

Wanted: Alfasud Ti S2 clips for skirt attachment to sill

Although it's unfortunately relatively quiet here on the board recently I'll try my chances anyway. I am looking for the clips with which the skirts are attached to the sill for an S2 Ti. These clips consist out a round receiving part (part number 109138) which is inserted into the sill and a pen li...

Re: Help Please..

Looking very tidy, nice job! Not sure what year car you are working on, but to my knowledge the clamps to assemble the steering rack to the bulkboard, used to be coloured gold-ish (Cr6). In order to reproduce a similar appearance and at the same time have an acceptable rust resistance you could have...

Thx LooLoo and KevJTD for the tips. When searching for Lithium Moly grease a bunch of results pop-up with quite different properties.

@KevJTD, which one do you usually apply?

Re: Help Please..

I don't want to hijack this thread, but it's a more or less related question. What kind of grease do you guys put on the rack? I'm planning to renew the torn boots/gaiters as well, but since the grease has been exposed to the elements for almost 2 decennia without protection it seemed beneficial to ...

As mentioned by some it's probably safer to have a rebuilt one than a NOS one that's been on the shelve for the past 40 years.

Re: South African built Alfasud Giardinetta (RHD) for sale

The current owner sold the car to a new owner South Africa. Too bad, because I would have loved to have the opportunity to see a SA built one in real life once. The chances on that with a vehicle located in the UK are for sure significantly bigger than in SA. Anyway just wanted to mention it's sold ...

Re: South African built Alfasud Giardinetta (RHD) for sale

The seller has to become a member of this board first so that might take a day or so. Of course I'm biased when it comes to the Alfasud Giardinetta topic, but this is really a good chance to get one on the road in the UK as Lyles intended back in the early eighties. If you want factory original spec...

South African built Alfasud Giardinetta (RHD) for sale

A gentleman from South Africa got his hands on a Brits made Alfasud Giardinetta (RHD). He is looking for a sale and perhaps some people on the board might be interested as this one is running and for sure salvage-able if you want factory original spec. or just a driver if you don't mind factory orig...

German cars had a long rectangular plate attached and French cars also had a unique plate attached, that's the same or am I wrong? The Australian one is a lot bigger though than the German and French ones.

Re: Alfasud batter tray colour. Body colour or black?

Thank you for the responses. I was almost sure of the part spec to be body colour, but better to ask before painting, otherwise it's a lot of work to correct it. If the bolt heads were also body colour then ideed cars must have been painted with this bracket assembled.

Re: Alfasud batter tray colour. Body colour or black?

Since the battery tray was probably not assembled to the body during the painting process (small clearance on bottom side to service are would probably lead not possible to paint surface)?

Alfasud batter tray colour. Body colour or black?

Gents, a question. All Suds I've seen so far have the battery tray (the bolt on bracket in the service area on which you mount the battery) in body colour. Is that because they are supposed to be in body colour or because all Suds have been repainted? I personally think this part is supposed to be i...

There are 2 good sources for Sprint parts in the Netherlands, but then the shipment costs are an additional burden of course.

3rd series Sud 1.5 Ti with small boot rustfree body (Alfa red)

Lads, I have no connection to the seller but would really love to see this rather rare car going to a good home where it will be handled with the care it needs. This is a stripped (no interior, engine gearbox, wiring loom etc.) rustfree body from what I can see from the pictures received. It is a pr...

Hi Splant, as expected based on the build year of 1983 the six bolt version. Now you know for sure and can order the corresponding Ferodo discs. The original number you had figured out is the 6-bolt version.

Re: 1983 in-board discs

There are actually 3 different ones. The first ones with 4 connection lugs with the initial shape. These connection lugs proved to be prone to breaking off so the 2nd design which came rather quickly after the initial design was again with 4 connection lugs with a modified shape which were way more ...
