Re Esso, it depends on what part of the country you are in wether it has ethanol or not. So check, it may contain it depending where you are, see: https://www.esso.co.uk/en-gb/fuels/petrol The main issue with E10 is storage, leaving it in the tank, lines and carb overwinter is not a good idea at all...

I guess it depends if you want to do full restorations or part. The guys doing my GTV6 do a lot of classic servicing and repair work, they have very few full restorations on the go, currently an alfa 2600 spider nut and bolt ground up restore, my GTV6 part resto and one other. To bring this thread to a close my x19 has gone to a new home...a bit sad seeing it being driven away but I know it has gone to a good home. It was fun. Now I need to arrange return of the GTV6 and start reacquainting myself with it, it’s been three years I think
