Iv got two s1 windscreens with clear glass for the rubber surround with the metal insert type cars.

635mm down the middle compared to 640mm of a full rubber screen from the later s2 and s3 cars.

These cost £320 each from pilkingtons, I’m looking for £175 each

It seems the filler neck to tank hoses are getting hard to get hold of nowerdays. Iv found a supplier who seems to have quite a few in stock, i could do with one but don’t fancy the 26€ shipping cost from Italy. The hoses are 14€

I’ll measure mine when I get home tonight, least then I’ll have the exact difference in mm to give to pilkingtons instead of guessing 5/10mm.

Is your screen a genuine Alfa one?

Are the measurements taken with the tape pulled tight so it’s as the crow flies so to speak?

Could you measure it top to bottom in the centre, and across the middle centre and also at its widest point towards the bottom edge. If you do this from the inside of the screen it’ll make it easier I guess.

It turns out the carb is the original one that’s been refurbished. I opened up the idle and main jet by .05 and it’s purring like a kitten

I know the where abouts of a SA import alfasud Gardinetta if anyone’s looking for a resto project. Been kept in a dry lockup for 20yrs and seems pretty much complete.

Obviously it’ll be a huge undertaking but being a RHD makes this a very rare car indeed and well worth the effort.
