They are not that clever are they.
This is why these sort of cars become trouble once they are about six years old. Look at all the Range Rovers that all have suspension faults.

I think you are selling yourself short Kev - didn't you win silverware at the AROC concours with VJM??? [/quote] Yes, he is modest. I was at that show and was looking out for bits for my car, (at that time still a couple of years from completion) and was so pleased to see a Sud winning a prize. Didn...

Hey Lou , I thought it looked nice before but those wheels really do finish it off a treat.
The bigger diameter does suit the styling of the car. Sometimes I think too big with thinner tyres doesn't always make an improvement, but they sure do.

No, I don't think that is odd to match up your glass, and as you say, the trim is better than you had so why keep it as a spare when you enjoy using the car.

Like your car, filler cap area had rotted out , so when I replaced the sills, wheel arches, tailgate and back panel I grafted in the filler flap and box from an Alfasud Sprint that was scraped. I also used the plastic filler pipe to connect it to the fuel tank.

I loved my S2, it was just like yours with the early Zender kit . 1.7 with the five spoke alloys and lowering springs.

Well done John, so glad that she wasn't scrapped. I got a message from the guy who bought my last 156 a while ago. I sold it with a full MOT. We all then ran into the covid pandemic when they gave MOTs a six month break and 18 months after he contacted me to say she sailed through her next test and ...

Well done Lou, a great result. Roll on warmer weather. I had to smile to myself when I read that you will re-build the other engine "at your leisure". You are always on the go, like Kev !! It has been cold, I had to change the battery on my Giulietta at the weekend and that wind cuts right through.

You start to loose faith in mankind sometimes.
I think 24/7 news doesn't help either. They tell us a story then it just spirals out of control. Common sense seems to be a dying thing now a days.

I used copper pipe on my car when I got it back on the road in 2013. I now need to get some of Kev's new E15 rated pipe to replace all the rubber stuff. In fact, recently I had to remove the radiator and air box for some repairs, and it was a bit of a blessing as it exposed that the fuel line was al...
