I how know what caused the problem the engine in the GT 2007 the swirl flaps are held on with 2 spot welds on cylinder 4 we have no flap which has done the damage to engine and turbo

he is pleased with it now phil, was touch and go though...seems he hasn't quite got my indifference to rust :D forgot to mention the other good news from last Friday too, he passed his driving test!! mind you that celebration was tempered by the £1,059 bill for his insurance :o My 18 year old daugh...

Collected the black leather then fitted it.
Removed the cylinder head from the old engine to see the damage. Free'd off 2 of the seized injectors in the replacement engine but had to get the grinder to the 3rd one so I could remove cams then the cylinder head

Yep when it's done all the main jobs will be done so I can just use it. I don't like the red leather plus drivers seat is worn looking at a mint black set. I'll be after a set of 18" alloys blackline, miltispokes or ones from a 147 Ducati I done like the gtv but only a 3.0 24v...........have a 2000 ...

Yep but now need it on the road by the end of month and will be a well sorted car

Will had a good aand bad day. It started off with removing gearbox off the s/hand engine to find a new clutch plus new dual mass flywheel. Then started swapping bits over 2 glow plugs snapped in the head and crankshaft seal behind flywheel is weaping so need to ordered head gasket set and crank seal...

Engine and box removed today. Needs new rear discs and pads so will ordered them on monday

Done some jobs on the sud on Saturday first was clutch slave, fitted the gtv front seats and air filters but I don't think I'll be keeping them on it. Had a nice drive as well but when I took it out the workshop I hit the telegraph pole.....dented the tailgate and broke the rear light
