Re: SPRINT RESURRECTION
To my knowledge, the extent of the repairs being carried out to your 82 Sprint is almost unprecedented for an Alfasud. The only other project I have seen that was as comprehensive and complicated as yours was this 1977 series 1 Ti that my friend Darek at MCG Classic Cars in Hanslope, Bucks undertook...

Re: Alfasud fuel tank
Please make sure ATP pack the tanks properly. I purchased one two years ago for my Super resto when they were first listed on Ebay under Alfa 33. It was covered on this Forum at the time. http://www.classicalfaforum.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=1437&p=18206&hilit=alfasam+fuel+tank#p18206 They com...

Series 1 Ti for sale in Australia
Having bought two Ti's from Australia since 2011 I was given the heads up on this car by a local contact: https://www.gumtree.com.au/s-ad/young/cars-vans-utes/alfa-romeo-alfasud-1978-2-door-coupe-project/1154109438 Interior is not great, but if you are looking for a good shell for a Trofeo replica i...

Re: Alfasuds at National Alfa Day 2017
Some of the best Sud colours were on display at Knebworth :D Loving Kegsti66's Rosso Corallo Ti S1 as always, whilst the Verde Faito Metallizzato Sprint Veloce was a beauty. The Sprint was originally launched in this colour in 1976 and it always looks sharp in this vibrant period shade. Alfasud Spri...

Re: Rear Suspension Foam Washers
I think there is possibly another twist to the story about the modifications that Alfa made to the rear leading arms on the series 1 Sud's. I came across a strange anomaly whilst going through some new old stock parts I purchased as a job lot from a guy in Italy a few years ago. In amongst the parts...

WOW. Lucky man! :D I would imagine they were a very difficult thing to find, you must have been extremely lucky to locate and purchase them. Is the adhesive on them still usable? I have some new old stock roof joint stickers for the Super, but the adhesive on them has dried out long ago, so going to...

Progressing very nicely Colin. Avorio (AVOO), available from 1980 model year, is a very elegant colour for a Sprint. Great that you're keeping the original period colour. Will you be fitting reproductions of the black decals along the belt line, and if so how have you gone about getting copies made ...

Here's an interesting one
Whilst perusing the Italian classifieds site Subito.it I came across this ad for a formula junior type car that appears to be powered by a mid mounted Alfasud engine. I have never seen a racing car of this configuration before or read anything about them. Wondered if anyone on the Forum has come acr...

Very early Sud 4 door on Ebay UK - new pics added
Spotted this today. Looks interesting. Very few RHD 4 door 4 speeds left now. Some obvious signs of the red/brown virus which will have spread further than at first apparent, but overall looks very restorable as it is complete with nice interior. Re: s2 Sud ti body trim on roof
The A pillar trims on the S2 Ti's are as pointed out above stainless steel pressings riveted to the underside of the main A pillar and simply painted satin back, same as on the S3 Ti's. They have a plastic gasket between the stainless steel trim and the A pillar. You can buy the correct size stainle...

A new YouTube video has appeared recently of a German TV road test of the 1981 S3 Ti which Forum members might be interested to see. Great site. Very interesting to see what is inside the 6C. The official factory service data book for Alfasud 1972-1983 definitely has the 76 Sprint listed as having 4.5J 145 x 13 wheel/tyre combo as standard spec, along with Ti, N and L. Re: TI S1/S2 & Sprint S1 steel wheel spec.
When I have refurbished Alfasud series 1/2 wheels in the past (1977 5M and 1978 Super 4 doors) I have noticed that the original factory applied paint coating is quite thick and seems to go a bit brittle and flaky when it has aged. This makes me wonder if the original factory applied coating might be...
