Next up..... O/S Door..... Getting a good door gap is impossible unless the hinge pins are in tip top order as we know, mine were badly worn and as they are welded on it presents a bit of a problem. these are originally 8mm tension pins top & bottom. I decided to do something better. There is not to...

Re: Advance timing
Is it mis-firing at 4500rpm? if so it could be the rotor arm if it is the type with the rpm cut out fitted to it, I had a rotor arm go faulty some years ago, its a spring loaded contact and the centrifugal force is designed to break the circuit at the set rpm but sometimes they do go out of spec, ju...

Doesn't really matter mate as long as the missus can get the night off work, she should be able to with a bit of notice. Presumably as the place does food it will be ok to bring our daughter? (she won't be drinking any beer!)

With a house move approaching I needed to get the shell mobile, those of you who have followed this rebuild from its beginning 4 1/2 years ago will remember I had already made up a frame for the rear of the car so I needed to do the same at the front and join them together. No worries, I will look into doing a cross reference in the next few days, a lot of the stuff for these cars as we know is non current but I have books going back to the 1950's so a cross ref. list will be no problem for us and maybe a few photos from the books etc.
