Re: Sud seat fabric

Hello all!
I bought some S3 Alfasud Ti Greencloverleaf material of Antonio and I have to say that I'm really quite pleased. I now need to find a quality interior trimming service. Can anyone recommend one, I'm in Blackpool but don't mind travelling a little! Thanks in advance!

Engine Oil

Just wondered if anyone has any experience of using Petronas Syntium 800 EU 10W/40 semi-synthetic for their Alfasud. When I put my Suds details in the Halfords website it’s the oil that is recommended. Thanks in advance!

EORI

Hello all! I’m trying to help a chap in Southern Ireland who is restoring an Alfasud SC. He needs a tank which I have but I believe I need an EORI (economic operators registration and identification number). Seems a bit much to have to go through so many hoops to send an old part to Ireland. Has any...

Just wondered if anyone could recommend a courier service to pick up a gearbox for me? The seller is happy to put it in a crate for collection. Thanks!

Re: Brave new world

Well put Lou, things are changing rapidly in the UK in response to the COVID-19 virus and I guess that we need to have a new way of thinking in terms of what each of us can do to help stop the spread. On a lighter note, you can’t catch it on CAF so don’t let the virus stop the chat.. Best wishes to ...

Re: My Dads new old 156

Each to their own I say. I absolutely love teledials, particularly on the Sud and Sprint as they seem to blend in with the styling of the car so well. The 17” teledials you get with the 916 GTV V6 make the car look like something more than it is and it’s already a beautiful car. Here’s a GTV V6 I ha...

My Dads new old 156

Thought I’d push the boat out and tell you about my Dads new daily. It’s a 1998 Alfa 156 2.0 Twinspark, a very early one on an ‘R’. He bought it off a gentleman who’d owned it from new and who had always had Alfa’s. I drove it the other day..lovely light clutch, effortless gear change, plenty of pok...

That a-pillar looks good, great progress. I’ve done the same job myself, kept checking the alignment by resting the wing back on the wing rail.

I think it was a treatment dealers offered to try and prevent the dreaded rot taking hold. I know I blasted my Sud with waxoil when I got it back from the paintshop!

Welcome to the forum Splant, glad someone is bringing the Sprint back to life. I seem to remember the seller describing ‘good inner wings and floor’, how’s the floor? Lots of good advice and parts available on this forum. Post some more photos if you get a chance!

Strange

Just an observation really ...there’s a white Sprint Greencloverleaf on eBay that was reduced to £1450 during the week and now the price has gone upto £3450 and there’s just one photo of the rear seats. Strange I thought? Anyone any further knowledge of this car and/or seller?

Re: Metric wheels with TRX tyres.

I was told that the Suds and Sprints handle better with the TRX tyres but I’ve never actually tried them out. Also, I have a pair of new TRX tyres if they are of any use? I have 14” speed lines on my Sud at the moment...
