Re: My Series 2 Survivor

Hi Michael, Well I’ve had my Sud for 10 almost 11 years and whilst I love it to bits I hardly use it. It feels like the time for a new adventure. There’s always a new project just around the corner. I really enjoy the restoration process and know some great people who can help me achieve the results...

Re: Bought a Sprint…

Yes, the black carpet is fixed to the rear of the back seats with button like studs. I guess you could have the material cut. I could take a photo with some measurements if that would help?

Re: My Series 2 Survivor

Hello again, welcome to CAF. Richard here, so good to meet you and great to see your car. I think it’s the most original time warp Alfasud I’ve seen in a long time. Felt like I was getting in a showroom new car when I sat in your car, I was glad of the experience as I missed them as new the first ti...

Re: Bought a Sprint…

Hi Crank,
I’ll take some photos for you but the boot area is lined by a black felt-like material. It is just draped over the spare wheel but I’ve put cardboard over the spare wheel just to make the material more evenly spread. 23 years, that’s good going!

It’s complete with lights, it’s all there. I’m currently getting a quote from a trusted body shop nearby, he’s reasonably impressed with how good it is. Bought a Sprint…

Hello all, it’s been a while since I’ve chatted on CAF but I’m glad to say I’m back. I’ve bought myself a 1988 Sprint 1.7 to fill my winter evenings! Wouldn’t start once I’d parked up (pushed)which was odd as it ran when I’ve viewed it. She guzzled 2 litres of water the night before. Took my dad aro...

Hello all!
I bought some S3 Alfasud Ti Greencloverleaf material of Antonio and I have to say that I'm really quite pleased. I now need to find a quality interior trimming service. Can anyone recommend one, I'm in Blackpool but don't mind travelling a little! Thanks in advance!

Engine Oil

Just wondered if anyone has any experience of using Petronas Syntium 800 EU 10W/40 semi-synthetic for their Alfasud. When I put my Suds details in the Halfords website it’s the oil that is recommended. Thanks in advance!

Well put Lou, things are changing rapidly in the UK in response to the COVID-19 virus and I guess that we need to have a new way of thinking in terms of what each of us can do to help stop the spread. On a lighter note, you can’t catch it on CAF so don’t let the virus stop the chat.. Best wishes to ...

Re: My Dads new old 156

Each to their own I say. I absolutely love teledials, particularly on the Sud and Sprint as they seem to blend in with the styling of the car so well. The 17” teledials you get with the 916 GTV V6 make the car look like something more than it is and it’s already a beautiful car. Here’s a GTV V6 I ha...
