Re: 1600 boxers
I had a 1600 16V in my race car with 87 mm and 67,2 stroke. In short: with the stock crank I was not able to keep this engine alive for more than 3 or 4 races....

Re: Alfa 33 1400 16V Rallycar
No particular reason. There were several drive shafts and hubs in my shelf. It was no prpblem to get new wheel bearings. What do you mean with how much lower? Torque of the brakes? Depends on disc size and brake pads you use. I went for Tarox rotors, as they never disappointed me before. And the AP ...

Re: Alfa 33 1400 16V Rallycar
I went with inboard brakes so many years to keep the unsprung weight as low as possible. But as the engine was getting stronger, the car faster and the brakinge distances longer, I decided for the conversion to outboard brakes on my sprint as well.. I hope, i can test it this year someday, somewhere...

Not so bad, but I still need the 4th gear wheel for main shaft with 35 teeth.
Can you help with that?
If so, i would take the pair 35/39.
Thanks, anyway..

2000 cc engine
Some years ago I bought this 8V heads from Bryan Shrubb. I took me some years to bring all the parts together I needed for a new 2000 cc engine. It has a steel crank with 80,3 mm stroke, steel conrods, forged pistons for 89,0 mm bore, large capacity oil sump with mouse traps and a custom made airbox...

They are, but just at the big end side..
If they would be machined at the main bearing side, you couldn´t use standard blocks anymore..
