1986 Alfa Sprint QV relays
Hi All I am having problems with my relays for the Main and Fog lights. Fog lights have never worked properly and I think it is because the incorrect relays are used All that are in are 5 pin but only one has five pins to connect (the main light) all the others are 4 pin Im guessing that the 5 would...

Re: Aussie Sprint
Have been using the sprint every now and then and love it. One thing I have noticed is that the torque steer is much more noticeable with the deeper dish wheels, when I put the standard wheels back on it is nowhere near as noticeable. Would it help if I gave it a bit more toe-in with the simmons on?...

Re: found & bought - another Alfasud Ti series 1!!
The silver tag in the engine bay is a compliance plate not a build plate. All Aussie cars have them, it's just to confirm that they have passed all the Aussie regulations. The plack thing in the boot is a carbon canister, it is to absorb the fuel vapours when the vapour in the tank expands with the ...

Re: Alfasud 1.5 Ti QV tidy up
Coming along nicely.
Get those pics up, keen to see how it looks with the new dash.
Your going to have this registered before I get the sprint registered.
I need to pull my finger out.
I do have another little project that requires my attention as well

Re: Turbo / Supercharging - Considerations
So a domed piston will give more force on the crank due to it's larger area. But aren't domed pistons for high compression NA engines? Turbo and a guess supercharged applications usually have flat top to reduce compression. Can you use a domed piston but change the stroke to lower the compression so...

Re: Aussie Sprint
Next job is to replace the pedal box wite the spare one I have. The one in the car is a bit rusted, so I have cleaned up the spare and will paint it and install. A big job but worth the effort, once that is done there are just a few small spots to respray and it's done. Unless I put the 16v in it th...

Re: Turbo / Supercharging - Considerations
Would it be best to turbo or supercharge a boxer motor? Turbo and supercharger would be reasonably easy on a 16v but what about the 8v I guess you would have to go to throttle bodies. Or you could go old school turbo and have a blow through system. Or use a single carb manifold and have a draw throu...

Re: Roof Lining Mould Spots.
Try a 50% vinegar 50% water solution to kill the mould. It won't do much for the discolouration so once the vinegar has been left for a few days try diluted bleach in a few applications over time. Test it somewhere inconspicuous first.

Re: With or without cam belt covers?
I think I will risk running without them and see how it goes.
Shouldn't be a problem for a while, the car isn't registered yet
So who has one of these they don't need?
And are they the same left and right?

With or without cam belt covers?
I am thinking of running without the cam belt covers :o What is the general thoughts on this? It looks great and it all looks quite protected from anything coming up from below. Only problem I could see would be dropping a spanner when you are tuning it :D Would anyone have one of the nice cam wheel...
