Thanks for the note Veesix,
Ed has been in contact separately with my son about this and I think he is intending to race our Sud.

Re: 33 adjustable steering arms
I’ve fitted them to both my Sud and 33, they make toe adjustment so much easier.
From memory I think we fitted a sleeve in the bush so the they fit the rack studs properly.
Thanks,
Adam

Re: Alfasud 16v Dyno Day
So far this year my son has taken part with the red 33 in four races as part of the Castle Combe Hot Hatch challenge, which was going well until the crankshaft broke in the last race on August bank holiday Monday. He noticed that the HRDC has a classic Alfa Challenge race on Sunday 22nd and so we ar...

Thank you all for your advice - yes these are the clip on ones, the Sprint upgrade seems to be the way to go (probably the same as our S1 33)

Thanks for the message, we are still rebuilding it due to Covid related delays with parts and the engine refresh, just the electrics to do now. I’ll post some photos of progress next week. We’ve been using our black Sud for track days this year and are looking forward to getting the 33 out next spri...

Alfasud S3 Wiper Arm
Hello
I’m in need of a wiper arm for a right hand drive Series 3 Alfasud as my old one parted company at a track day never to be seen again - it’s passenger side if that makes any difference.
Thanks

Re: Alfasud 16v Dyno Day
The speedo issue was resolved, the gauge end of the cable was rounded and would not drive the mechanism so I swapped it for a spare. Unfortunately the spare was rounded at the gearbox end and was binding in the sheath causing it to pull out. Its great that we can now buy original spec. parts from th...

Re: Alfasud 16v Dyno Day
Thanks for the advice Junior, RS I’ll try all these things and see where I get to. If the gear is broken what’s the procedure for changing the gear drive? I know that Mr Sud has steel replacements advertised on his ebay page. If it is the case that mine is broken then I’ll give one of them a whirl, ...

Re: Alfasud 16v Dyno Day
Three of us drove the Sud at Castle Combe on Monday. Given that this was the first proper track shakedown since fitting the 16v engine all went well-ish. We had a part throttle misfire which cleared after a few full throttle laps and cooling problems as a result of air entrapment which we sorted. My...

Thanks RS,
I’ve spoken to Dave a couple of times when he was at Castle Combe track days with his son, A very knowledgeable man with a very good reputation. It would be interesting to run the car up on his dyno when I get the chance and following some further fettling.

Re: Alfasud 16v Dyno Day
Thanks for the feedback Veesix.
I’ll post an update following the track day, hopefully with some video footage.
Going forward we are looking at exhaust and bigger carbs to get more at the top end.
In the meantime it’s nice to have a well set up car to trundle around in.

Alfasud 16v Dyno Day
I went with my son to Janspeed in Salisbury on Monday to get the car set up following replacing the ancient Megajolt ignition system with a Nodiz Pro alternative. The car runs a standard 16v on Weber 40 idfs. We started off at 116bhp at the wheels and finished with 122.5 with K&N pancake filters...

Re: Too many projects... again!
Thanks for your feedback Gary and Lou,
For the exterior will be AR 530 which is what Suds and series 1 33s were painted - for the interior I’ll go for Grigio Chiaro 612 which was a 155 colour option in 1993/1994.

Hello Gary For me It’s the Sud 16v, (I’m biased as I have one and it took me ages to finish it also) and the 155 as it is one of the most iconic cars in BTCC history. I have a question for you if you don’t mind; my son and I are refreshing our 33 racer - the ex Nick Anderson car - and we fancy copyi...
