Thanks for the interest and the suggestions on shipping. I'll have a look tomorrow and see what options I can find.
Thanks

Par of Sud doors
Having a clear out of my last remaining Sud parts now I've sadly sold my car. I've got a pair of doors from a 3 door Sud, around 1982 from a TIX that I broke for spares. They're in excellent condition with no rot on them at all. Odd bit of surface rust where the paint has got chipped on the edges wh...

Does anybody know what this is.....
I've sadly sold my Sud (but have bought a Spider S4 :-) ) and I'm having a clear out of my parts. I've got a couple of new speedo cables and I know one is for an S3 Sud but I'm not sure what the other one is for. They're both the same length with the same connectors at each end but the grommets on t...

Brand new TI front headlights
Well sadly I've sold my Alfasud, just wasn't using it :-( But that does mean I have a load of parts I need to sell so for starters I've got a full set of brand new TI front headlights for sale. Bought them from Australia a few years ago. They're the later ones with the plastic mounting/surrounds. Ha...

Re: Machine Polishing Help/Advice Needed
Did the same on mine. My advice would be: 1. Do it outside, it sprays everywhere, I'm sure if you're a professional you learn how not get it everywhere but I've still got tool boxes with white spots. 2. Lubricate ! Plenty of water so you don't 'burn' the paint at all. Bit of practice and it's quite ...

And sadly mine up for sale as well

I just never use it especially now I've got my Giulia 1300ti on the road. Difficult decision which I'm sure I'll regret but time to let someone else enjoy it.

Looks good, I'll be very interested to see if you manage to get the rears done. I didn't really investigate that but it would be good if it's possible.

Re: GT Junior Rebuild Thread
Looks good, impressed with how well the sand blaster has worked.
Does remind me I really should go and get my GT Junior, it's up in a friends garage in Sheffield, only been there since 1996, it'll get done one day !

Re: Steering Arm bushes
My questions is, How do you find the correct size just by searching ? :? I mean, ok, you measure up the size that you need, but then you go searching for that size. And all webpages have to give you is bushes according to model of car and application. I've never seen anyone give out the sizes... Do...

Re: 916 GTV seats for a Sud?
Here's how I did mine. I just used some 5mm thick bar at the back: IMG_2642 (1024x683).jpg and for the front I used some wider bar just drilled in the right places: IMG_2640 (1024x683).jpg I wanted to keep it simple so it was easy to reverse if I want to. For the seatbelts I used the GTV one's but y...

Steady Bar Bushes
A quick summary of how I've replaced the engine steady bar bushes on my Sud with poly ones. The buses I used were these: http://www.superflex.co.uk/proddetail.php?prod=SF397-1276 I had to make up a new bar to connect the engine to the body as the original one had 'hooks' on the ends that are fine wi...

Steering Arm bushes
I recently had the engine out of my Sud to clean and repaint the engine bay. Whilst doing that I noticed there was quite a lot of movement in the steering arm bushes so I decided to replace them. I couldn't find new ones anywhere unless I bought a whole are. Most of the 'polybush' suppliers list the...

Re: 916 GTV seats for a Sud?
Guys (and girls), I am going to try the above for my 1984 Sud Gold Cloverleaf (5 door). Any reason why I shouldn't? I'm guessing I'll need adapter brackets for the rails on the front seats. Any other red flags? Cheers! I've done mine, I just made a couple of brackets out of 5mm bar from memory, I'l...

Re: Gearbox Tail Housing Bushes
You're definitely right about the other mounts as well but I'd already renewed those. The tail housing ones were completely shot. It does seems to have worked really well with far less movement but still enough to stop vibration. If I get time this weekend I'll post up how I did the steering arms an...

Gearbox Tail Housing Bushes
Hi All, Great to see the new board up and running. Thought I'd share how I rebushed my gearbox tailhousing on my Sud last summer. Hopefully of use to somebody. My buses were very worn and I wanted something a bit firmer without going all the way to solid mounts. I found that BMW E30 roll bar bushes ...
