Re: my new purchase

Wow - not seen a PRO1 for a while
Remember using that in my Alfa/Fiat dealer days
From what I remember it was just a big breakout box for checking the wiring instead of probing the pins at the ecu connector
Hope it helps with your diagnosis

Re: SPRINT RESURRECTION

That doesn't sound right - are you sure the lower spring pan is the right type or is it damaged ? The strut bearing should just easily fit through the hole in the lower spring pan and go through it far enough for the upper "lip" of the bearing housing to be visible so the rubber dust boot can fit on...

Re: SPRINT RESURRECTION

That rear wing is for a very early car as it has the recess to get your finger in to open the flap From my memory only the first series 1 cars with the 1286cc engine had this I guess the flap may be different ? No idea about the rubber seal but if there are any sprints at National Alfa Day the Sunda...

Re: Key codes and transponders

Not sure that you need to disconnect the battery, I have never done this when coding new keys.
Your type of key is what I am familiar with, so that method should work fine
I left the Alfa dealer world in 1997 so never got involved with the later type of keys

Re: Key codes and transponders

From what I remember this is the procedure The only thing the makes the "Master" key be a master key is that it is the very first key ever used so that is the first one in the memory of the yellow code box and the engine ECU. To "open" the memory and allow any more keys to be coded you turn the igni...

Shame about the header tank but good initiative to paint the plastic one
I guess a fabricator could make a new bottom of your original one ?

Re: SPRINT RESURRECTION

I think the lines are cleaner without the rear wiper & washer
I also prefer the pre cloverleaf B post covers but as they are metal more difficult to find

Re: An introduction and my 1980 1.5 super

Great looking work you have done there Lucky with the condition of the suspension arms as they are prone to corrosion-the forward facing ones tend to go around where they join the rear arm-the water gets under the strengthening plates and the rear arms can corrode from the inside and could also be f...
